5. Strong Current
The current proved too strong for the mother bear. Despite her desire to stay with her cubs, she couldn’t fight the powerful water to return to them. Unsure if she would even make it to the other side of the lake alive, she used all her remaining strength to reach dry land.
Half frozen, she finally got her paws on solid ground and looked around, only to find her cubs had disappeared.
