Repairing and refurbishing the truck
The adventurous couple undertook the entire conversion of the truck themselves. According to Iona’s Facebook page, the exterior posed the greatest challenge. They aimed to give it the appearance of a genuine campervan rather than a truck with windows. Their efforts paid off, as the truck now boasts a sleek and modern look both inside and out. The entire transformation reportedly cost £20,000 (approximately €22,500). By doing all the work themselves, Iona and Martin were able to save on expenses. They invested in insulation, flooring, furniture, a kitchen, and a bathroom to complete the project.
